Glasgow Branch

A word from the Chairman, Don Cochrane: "The Glasgow Branch of the CMPE was founded in 1960.  Over the years we have been well attended, with in excess of 150 members.  In these auster times, we have seen our membership drop to around 50+.

On a more personal note, I moved back to the central belt of Scotland in 1990 as a plant manager with Tullock McAlpine Scotland.  I joined the Glasgow Branch of the CMPE and found the knowledge and experience gained from like minded business men invaluable in acheiving my ambition to start my own business,  D C Plant Service and Sales, in which I have been successful for 11 years

We are always open to new ideas to boost membership

However, we have received and excellent response to  our initiative to encourage apprentices to join and bring a new generation into the CMPE.  We are delighted that one of our former apprentice members is not on our Branch Committee.  It is these young people who are the future of our association.
