National Chairmans Message

In 1995 I was nominated as National Vice Chairman and became National Chairman  in 1996.

I was asked by many members to put myself forward again in 2010 to support Malcolm Webb during his term of office.

I am a firm believer in the social side of CMPE, travelling with Marion to join friends old and new at B-B-Qs, Dinners, Ladies Evenings and on trips to Sorrento and Malaga.

I will, as always, encourage the training and certification of all parts of our industry believing that the C.M.P.E. Certificate of Competence is one of the best ways of achieving a trained, safety conscious industry.

C.M.P.E. have been leaders in Operator Certification, being the first to introduce Certificates of Competence and Operator Logbooks, we must continue to innovate and look forward. 

In the middle of this recession we need to work together and use our membership, we must encourage younger members as they are the lifeblood of our industry and indeed our country.

Hopefully, I will meet many of you at various events throughout the year.
