Congratulations to Peter Cunliffe, Preston & Fylde Branch
On January 7th. 2009 Peter became a member of the C.M.P.E. for 50 years which is a tremendous achievement. He started work at Power Units in Leeds as an apprentice and was soon encouraged to join the Yorkshire Branch in 1959.
In 1962 he moved to Lancashire and went to work for Reardon Plant, Chorley and transferred to the Manchester Branch, which was much nearer to where he lived. During the next two years Peter helped to spread the C.M.P.E. message in the North Lancashire area and on the 12th. March 1964 he was one of the founder members when the Preston & Fylde Branch was formed.
Peter has been a commitee member for almost all that time, has been Chairman twice, Secretary, Narional Council Representative and is still the Branch Registrar for the Certificates of Competence scheme and he remains a staunch C.M.P.E. member.
Many congratulations Peter for your dedication to the C.M.P.E.
