Events
Thursday July 3rd. Thanks to Brian Crees a party of 70 - both members and friends - enjoyed a night at the Brighton Greyhound Stadium where we had a three course meal and coffee and were able to place bets with an attendant at our tables which were ringside overlooking the track. Small sums of money flowed, some from us and some to us. Brian's Ann seemed to have the knack and collected on 9 out of the 12 races. My system was haphazard and I lost 9 out of 12, but it was fun watching 6 greyhounds hurtling around the track at great speed. Thanks due to Brian for fixing this annual fun night out.
Saturday August 2nd. The Branch annual BBQ will be held once again at Les & Janet Searle's place in Horsham. Wet or dry, ample cover provided and the possibility of a ride round Horsham in a genuine steam driven bus. Tickets can be had from Janet (01403.275846) but she must know if you are coming by 27th. July
A substantial hot meal is served at all branch meetings at the Cricket Club with cheese and biscuits and tea and coffee in abundance. It's worth turning out for that alone!
