Safety Awareness Training

Quality Safety Awareness Training is available through most of our branches, offering a consistent standard in an acceptable format. To achieve this, the CMPE is accredited to the CTA scheme, which is administered by the CITB, and allows companies who pay the levy to claim the training grant. The benefit of this is that it should allow all employees to receive this training regularly and so increase safety on site.

There is no legal requirement for anybody to have a Safety Awareness Certificate, but as part of the industry's attempt to address the demands upon it to improve its record, and to assist employers in complying with their legal requirements, it is becoming a basic requirement before people are allowed on site.

The objectives of the training are to make people aware of what current legislation exists, how it should be applied, what employer and employee responsibilities there are and what actions should be taken to ensure that they are contributing to a safer working environment. We also provide Safety Awareness Training for the new C.S.C.S. scheme which now encompasses almost all trades.
