In 1967 I joined the C.M.P.E. because it offered just what I was looking for, a source of information and friendship. 40 years later I am President of the C.M.P.E. and willing to use my knowledge and experience to help promote our Association and members in any way I can. Gerry Bingham - Immediate Past National Chairman

Gerry Bingham joined the Preston & Fylde Branch of the CMPE on 16th June 1996, and the Committee made it very clear to him they were looking for new members who would attend meetings and give some real input to the running of the branch.

David Fielden - National Chairman

David has been actively involved in the CMPE for 21 years holding positions both at Yorkshire Branch and on National Level. Past positions have included those of chairman, registrar, liaison officer and national council representatives and he continues to be a regular attendee at CMPE events and functions nationwide.

Gerry Hill - National Treasurer, Past N.Chairman

I was born in London on 6^th September 1946. Upon leaving school in 1961 I started my apprenticeship as an architectural metal craftsman and welder with Bassett and Findley in South London. I married my wife Carol in Jan 1965 where we set up home and enjoyed the first two years of our married life again in South London.

Chris Miller - National Registrar, Certificates of Competence

I joined the Worcester branch of CMPE in 1968 at the age of 21. In the middle of England alone, there were four branches then, drawing their members from the many contractors who owned vast inventories of plant and the representatives of manufacturers who wanted to court them.
